This project is a system implementation for our client, Mini Plum, a renowned pen manufacturer. We relied on SAP’s ACTIVATE methodology, a structured and proven approach to ensuring a successful implementation.

Work Meetings

Work Meeting - 20-02-2025

At the meeting on February 20, 2025, the Sinfonía 2.0 Project team focused on role assignments and planning the next stages of the project. Team members were assigned roles based on their experience in SAP modules, including Basis, PP/MM, MM, FICO, and SD. Abigail Flores will be responsible for collecting the team’s resumes. The Blueprint process was discussed, which includes creating a template of questions for the client, reviewing and signing the NDA, and preparing the AS IS and TO BE documents. Once the TO BE is approved, the Business Blueprint will be completed and the sign-off will be signed. The team reviewed the questionnaires for the MM, SD, and PP modules and agreed to adapt them to the current project. Specific questions for the client regarding the PP module were discussed, including production planning, materials management, and the use of discrete and repetitive production orders. Some concerns were identified regarding the procurement of inks and other materials, and it was agreed that consultants should thoroughly investigate these processes. The importance of communicating concerns and questions via email was also emphasized, especially when a team member cannot attend the meeting. Finally, a commitment was made to have an Excel file ready by next week, with the assignment of modules to each participant and access to the documentation. Two people from external organizations are expected to be included in upcoming meetings.

Work Meeting 3 - 03-03-2025

In a meeting on March 20, 2025, the team discusses the importance of conducting a “proof of concept” to advance a project with a client. Given the lack of clear definitions from the client, they decide to create a simplified scenario to demonstrate the feasibility of their proposal. The proof of concept will serve to validate key processes, such as purchasing, planning, and sales, and to provide feedback from the client. The team focuses on creating basic materials, such as raw materials and a finished product, to simulate a production process. Specific tasks are assigned to each team member, with the goal of completing the proof of concept within two days. The importance of practice and collaboration is emphasized to develop the necessary skills and advance the project.
